BenQ Materials Corp. hereby announces its acquisition of WEB-PRO Corp., a major medical materials and hygiene supplies manufacturer

On November 1, BenQ Materials Corp. held a Board of Directors meeting which approved the acquisition where NT$3.162 billion will be invested in WEB-PRO Corp., a major supplier of medical materials and hygiene supplies, to obtain 51% shares in WEB-PRO. This acquisition will subsequently incorporate WEB-PRO into BenQ Materials, with a view to accelerate BenQ Materials’s technological development and application expansion in the medical industry.

WEB-PRO is a world-renowned upstream medical materials and hygiene supplies manufacturer which produces spunlace nonwoven fabric and PE film used in medical-graded personal protection equipment, gauze, protection pad, wet wipes, facial masks, diapers, and sanitary pads. WEB-PRO, with its advanced manufacturing capabilities, outstanding staff, first-class supply chain, and sound client base across the US, Europe, and Asia (including Japan), is a designated supplier which is qualified by various global brands and enterprises. Upon completion of this acquisition, WEB-PRO will be incorporated into BenQ Materials’ medical sector and continue product R&D and manufacturing for both medical materials and hygiene supplies.

WEB-PRO’s incorporation will further strengthen BenQ Materials’ plans in the medical industry.
